Central Baptist went in front early in the first game, using a solo homer in the bottom of the first inning to lead 1-0. The Vikings were unable to go back in front in the sixth, while CBC put together a rally in the bottom half of the inning, using six hits to score three runs and pull ahead, 6-3. The Vikings tried to work back in the top of the seventh, as Senior Rightfielder Ella Dillon (Sumner, Wash.) and Castruita both singled, and MVC had the tying run at the plate with one out. However, Missouri Valley left two runners stranded to end the at-bat, and suffer a 6-3 defeat.
Castruita led with four hits and one run scored, while Loucas had one hit and two RBI's. Pasbrig finished with one hit and one RBI. Shuff went five innings, giving up seven hits and four earned runs with three strikeouts.
