Women's Wrestling Produces Three All-Americans on Day One of National Tournament

Park City, Kan., (March 13, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College women's wrestling opened competition at the 2026 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship in Park City, Kan.  Three Viking earned All-American status, with one advancing to the championship semifinals.  The team is in the top ten of the standings going into day two.

 

Sophomore Zao Estrada (Bluffton, S.C.)-117 pounds:

First Round: Received a bye.

Second Round: Defeated Angelica Vicente Gonzalez of Doane (Neb.) in a 10-0 technical fall.

Quarterfinal: Defeated Grace Lashinsky of Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in a 10-0 technical fall.

Estrada earned All-American status, and will wrestle in the semifinals.

 

Senior Brooke-Lynn Rush (St. Joseph, Mo.)-145 pounds:

First Round: Received a bye.

Second Round: Lost to Madison Diaz of Grand View (Iowa) in a 6-4 decision.

Consolation Second Round: Defeated Alyvia Ming of Cumberlands (Ky.) in a 10-0 technical fall.

Consolation Third Round: Defeated Emma Stice of Hastings (Neb.) in a 9-3 decision.

Consolation Fourth Round: Defeated Gabriella Perez of Campbellsville (Ky.) in a 3-2 decision.

Rush earned All-American status, and will wrestle in the consolation fifth round.

 

Senior Autumn Perez (Dodge City, Kan.)-180 pounds:

First Round: Lost to Andjela Prijovic of Grand View (Iowa) in a second period (4:11) pin.

Consolation First Round: Received a bye.

Consolation Second Round: Defeated Kenlee Fish of Missouri Baptist in a first period (2:22) pin.

Consolation Third Round: Defeated Bailee Nelson of Friends (Kan.) in a first period (1:07) pin.

Consolation Fourth Round: Defeated Ambre Chervreau of Wayland Baptist in a first period (2:02) pin.

Perez earned All-American status, and will wrestle in the consolation fifth round.

 

Senior Sarina Bertram (Platte City, Mo.)-145 pounds:

First Round: Received a bye.

Second Round: Defeated Alexis Means of Friends (Kan.) in a 10-0 technical fall.

Quarterfinal: Lost to Jamilah McBryde of Life (Ga.) in a 10-0 technical fall.

Consolation Fourth Round: Lost to Hayden Newberg of Indiana Tech in a 5-2 decision.

 

Sophomore Sarah Pineda (Perris, Calif.)-117 pounds:

First Round: Received a bye.

Second Round: Lost to Cailin Campbell of Grand View (Iowa) in a 12-2 technical fall.

Consolation Second Round: Received a bye.

Consolation Third Round: Lost to Mayangelie Colon of Grand View (Iowa) in a first period (1:53) pin.

 

Sophomore Jasmina Immaeva (Tashkent, Uzbekistan)-124 pounds:

First Round: First Round: Lost to Rose Kaplan of Indiana Tech in a first period (2:54) pin.

Consolation First Round: Received a bye.

Consolation Second Round: Defeated Myia Weiler of Southern Oregon in a second period (5:06) pin.

Consolation Third Round: Lost to Maya Davis of Grand View (Iowa) in a second period (5:34) pin.

 

Junior Serenity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas)-138 pounds:

First Round: Lost to Makayla Correa of Southern Oregon in a second period (4:12) pin.

Consolation First Round: Received a bye.

Consolation Second Round: Defeated Natalia Posada of Oklahoma City in a second period (5:10) pin.

Consolation Third Round: Lost to Haley Le of Evergreen State (Wash.) in a first period (1:29) pin.

 

Junior Maria Slaughter (Wentzville, Mo.)-160 pounds:

First Round: Defeated Nicole Olson of Grand View (Iowa) in a first period (0:46) pin.

Second Round: Lost to Hailey Sutton of Providence (Mont.) in a 9-2 decision.

Consolation Second Round: Lost to Makayla Munoz of Oklahoma City in a second period (4:50) pin.

 

Junior Raquel Garcia (Wilmington, Calif.)-110 pounds:

First Round: Lost to Tristan Nitta of Grand View (Iowa) in a first period (1:37) Pin.

Consolation First Round: Received a bye.

Consolation Second Round: Lost to Kylie Robeldo of Baker (Kan.) in a 10-0 technical fall.

 

Sophomore Isla Baeza (Orem, Utah)-124 pounds:

First Round: Received a bye.

Second Round: Lost to Vicky Baez-Dilone of William Penn (Iowa) in a 10-0 technical fall.

Consolation Second Round: Lost to Jazmine Turner of Dickinson State (N.D.) in a second period (5:18) pin.

 

Missouri Valley is tenth overall in the team standings with a total of 41.5 points.  Life (Ga.) leads all teams with 112.5 points.

 

The 2026 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship continues tomorrow, Saturday, with two more sessions inside Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan.

 

Session III-Saturday at 10 a.m.

Championship Semifinals, Consolation Fifth Round, Consolation Semifinals, Placement Matches (3rd, 5th, 7th place).

 

Session IV-Saturday at 7 p.m.

National Championship Round in all ten weight classes.
