Women's Wrestling Moves to No. 14 in Coaches' Poll, Six Nationally Ranked Individuals
Marshall, Mo., (Dec. 11, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College women's wrestling team has made a jump up the rankings in the latest NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Poll, released Thursday. Six individuals are Nationally ranked.
The Vikings moved up four spots to the No. 14 position in this edition of the coaches' poll. During the latest ratings period, the team hosted the Missouri Valley Open, the largest collegiate women's wrestling tournament in the country. The Vikings also competed at the Doane (Neb.) Open producing three placers.
Five other programs from the Heart of America Athletic Conference are featured in the coaches' poll. Grand View (Iowa) is No. 3, William Penn (Iowa) fell No. 4, Central Methodist (Mo.) dropped to No. 16, affiliate member Dickinson State (N.D.) moved up to No. 18, and Baker (Kan.) entered the poll at No. 19. The Vikings dual Grand View on the road, Jan. 15, host Central Methodist in a dual, Jan. 20, go to Baker for a dual, Feb. 4, and host William Penn in the final dual of the season, Feb. 17.
Leading the six individuals Nationally ranked is No. 4 Senior Serenity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas) at 138 pounds, and No. 5 Senior Sarina Bertram (Platte City, Mo.) follows at 145 pounds. The other ranked Vikings include:
No. 17 Senior Sage Beltran (Honolulu, Hawaii) at 103 pounds.
No. 7 Sophomore Jasmina Immaeva (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) at 124 pounds.
No. 19 Sophomore Isla Baeza (Orem, Utah) at 124 pounds.
No. 6 Senior Autumn Perez (Dodge City, Kan.) at 180 pounds.
Up next, the Viking women's wrestling team will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to compete at the NWCA National Duals next month, on Jan. 9-10.
