No. 16 Women's Wrestling Competes at Ottawa Open
Ottawa, Kan., (Nov. 8, 2025)- The No. 16 Missouri Valley College women's wrestling team traveled to Ottawa, Kan., to compete at Ottawa (Kan.) Open, Saturday. The Vikings competed against programs from multiple divisions. Leading the team was Freshman Janessa Avila (St. Clair, Mo.), who placed fourth at 103 pounds, and Freshman Gwendolyn Jewell (Orange, Calif.) placed sixth at 138 pounds.
