Women's Tennis Tops Truman State
Marshall, Mo., (Sept. 13, 2023)- The Missouri Valley College women's tennis team hosted NCAA Division II Truman State (Mo.) in matches at Indian Foothills Park, Tuesday. The Vikings earned a 5-2 victory in matches.

No. 1-Junior Milene Marciniuk (Curitiba, Brazil)/Sophomore Renata Martinez (Mexico City, Mexico) lost Allie Brown/Sydney Dial, 0-6.
No. 2-Sophomore Queralt Carbo (Barcelona, Spain)/Sophomore Claudia Casas (Tarragona, Spain) defeated Akansha Negi/AbbieWorster, 6-2.
No. 3-Freshman Hannah Brown (Marshall, Mo.)/Sophomore Anais Gerard (Montpellier, France) defeated Calli Hepfinger/Alayna Dostal, 6-0.
Singles:
No. 1-Carbo defeated Brown, 6-3, 6-4.
No. 2-Marciniuk defeated Negi, 6-0, 6-2.
No. 3-Olvera lost to Dial, 5-7, 4-6.
No. 4-Brown lost to Worster, 6-1, 3-6, 8-10.
No. 5-Casas defeated Hepfinger, 6-0, 6-2.
No. 6-Gerard defeated Dostal, 6-0, 6-1.
The win moves Missouri Valley to 1-1 on the season.
