Women's Lacrosse Falls on the Road to No. 2 Benedictine

Marshall, Mo., (March 22, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's lacrosse teams traveled to Atchison, Kan., for a Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader against Benedictine (Kan.).  The women's team fell to the No. 2 Ravens, and the men's team suffered a loss on the road.

 

Leading the women's team was Rose Szymanski, who finished with two goals.  Sophomore Attack Atleigh Lark (Alma, Mo.) added one goal, and Sophomore Midfielder Hailey Davis (Maryville, Tenn.) had one assist.  Goalkeeper Audrey Connolly made seven saves in goal.  The Vikings fell by a final score of 28-3.

 

The loss drops Missouri Valley to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the Heart.  Benedictine improves to 12-0 on the season, and 3-0 in the conference.

 

Up next, the women's team will travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for a Heart contest against Mount Mercy (Iowa), Monday at 4 p.m.  The men's team will next be in action Thursday in a 7 p.m., Heart game against Clarke (Iowa).
