Men's Wrestling Ranked No. 13, Nine Individuals Nationally Ranked

Marshall, Mo., (Jan. 15, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's wrestling team remains in the NAIA Men's Wrestling Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Thursday.  Nine individuals are ranked, including two in the top three in their respective weight classes.

The Vikings dropped one spot from the previous rankings, and are No. 13 in this edition of the coaches' poll.  During the latest rating period, the team hosted the Valley Duals, and finished with a 4-0 record on the day, defeating Baker (Kan.), Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), Midway (Ky.), and No. 17 Marian (Ind.).

Missouri Valley is one of three teams from the Heart of America Athletic Conference ranked in the coaches's poll.  Grand View (Iowa) remains No. 1, and Central Methodist stays No. 14.  The Vikings go to Grand View for a dual, Jan. 15, and host Central Methodist in a dual, Feb. 5.

A total of nine individuals from the team are ranked in their respective weight classes, led by No. 3 Junior Haden Hernandez (Huntington Beach, Calif.) at 133 pounds and No. 3 Senior Elijah Hynes (Broken Arrow, Okla.) at 197 pounds.  The other seven ranked individuals include:  

No. 16 Junior Robert Albert (Cape Coral, Fla.) at 125 pounds.

No. 12 Freshman Aiden Serrano (Indianola, Iowa) at 133 pounds.

No. 15 Freshman Tuvshinjargal Zuunbayan at 133 pounds.

No. 21 Sophomore Brayden Shelton (Centralia, Mo.) at 157 pounds.

No. 10 Senior Francis Morrissey (Warner Robins, Ga.) at 165 pounds.

No. 14 Senior Dayton Hill (Broken Arrow, Okla.) at 165 pounds.

No. 16 Senior Randy Gonzalez (Lakewood, Colo.) at 285 pounds.

Up next, the Viking men's wrestling team will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, for a dual with No. 1 Grand View tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m.
