Weightlifting Competes at University Nationals
Salt Lake City, Utah, (April 15, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College weightlifting team recently competed at the USA Weightlifting University Nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah. Nine Vikings competed at the event, producing one medalist.
Day One:
Sophomore Jedidiah Kracl (Crete, Neb.) competed in the 65kg weight class, totaling 215kg (473.99 lbs) with a 95kg snatch and 120kg clean & jerk. He placed 8th overall, finishing 8th in clean & jerk and 9th in snatch.
Freshman Earl Hollis Jr. (West Palm Beach, Fla.) competed in the 71kg class, posting a 172kg total (379.19 lbs) with a 70kg snatch and 102kg clean & jerk. He placed 21st overall.
Junior Corey Morabito (Lansdale, Pa.) lifted in the 60kg class, totaling 172kg (379.19 lbs) with a 70kg snatch and 102kg clean & jerk. He finished 10th overall, including 8th in clean & jerk.
Senior Ontarriyus Reid (Palatka, Fla.) competed in the 65kg class, totaling 207 kg (456.35 lbs) with a 92kg snatch and 115kg clean & jerk, finishing 11th overall.
Sophomore Jaden Lambert (Belton, Mo.) earned a 3rd-place finish in the snatch with a lift of 115kg (253.53 lbs) in the 71kg class.
Day Two:
Sophomore Nick Martinez (Donna, Texas) competed in the 79kg class, totaling 198kg (436.51 lbs) with an 85kg snatch and 113kg clean & jerk, finishing 36th overall.
Thomas Gearllach Sr. (Palmdale, Calif.) lifted in the 88kg class, recording a 227kg total (500.44 lbs) with a 100kg snatch and 127kg clean & jerk, placing 26th overall.
Day Three:
Senior Noah Carr (Kissimmee, Fla.) competed in the 94kg class, totaling 236kg (520.29 lbs) with a 105kg snatch and 131kg clean & jerk, finishing 20th overall.
Day Four:
Sophomore Madison Woodworth (Panama City, FL) competed in the 86+kg class, posting a 144kg total (317.46 lbs) with a 60kg snatch and 84kg clean & jerk. She placed 12th overall, including 10th in the clean & jerk.
