MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS OPENS OUTDOOR SEASONS AT CMU OPEN

Fayette, Mo., (March. 16, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's track and field teams opened their outdoor seasons at the CMU outdoor Invite Saturday in Fayette, Mo.

Men's Results:

Freshman Al'zaveon Harris: placed 3rd in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.27. He also placed 14th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.40.

Senior Khobi Kellerman (Auxvasse, Mo): placed 4th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:04.69.

Freshman Terrill Davis: placed 6th in men's high jump with a jump of 1.82 meters. He also placed 10th in men's long jump with a distance of 5.95 meters. As for running events, Davis placed 26 in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.94.

Freshman Matthew Fisher (Houston, Texas): placed 6th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.50.

Sophomore Derel Morris (New York, N.Y.): Placed 8th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:09.77.

Junior Rodrigo Escalona-Rodriguez (El Paso, Texas): Placed 9th in the 600 yard run with a time of 1:26.86.

Freshman Mac Dawkins (Spokane, Wash.): Placed 10th in long jump with a distance of 6.12 meters. He also placed 44 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.82.

Junior Ranse Santiago (Kauffman, Tx): placed 15th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:17.01.

Freshman Jorge Munoz (Madrid, Spain): Placed 19th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.04.

Freshman Evans Kiptoo: placed 18th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:44.41. He also placed 20th in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 10:20.10

Freshman Joseph Lepak: placed 6th in the javelin throw with a distance of 48.14 meters.

Freshman Jordan Ford (Dadeville, Ala): Placed 21st in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.14.

Junior Tyler Polley (Brooksfield, Mo): placed 21st in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:34.77.

Freshman Samuel Brown (Cedar Hill, Texas): placed 22 in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.75. He also placed 29th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.08.

Women's Results:

Freshman Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo): placed 3rd in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:35.82.

Sophomore Federica Gammarota (Sofoggia, Italy): Placed 5th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:03.74.

Junior Paula Romero Rodriguez (Madrid, Spain): placed 4th in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.12 meters. Romero-Rodriguez placed 8th in shot put with a distance of 11.24 meters and she also placed 6 in discus with a distance of 33.81 meters.

Junior Kylie Linson (Troy, Mo.): placed 8th in the hammer throw with a distance of 39.94 and she also placed 13 in shot put with a distance of 10.10 meters.

Junior Arianna Loot (Bay City, Texas): placed 9th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:06.46. She placed 16th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.38 and also placed 20th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.18.

Freshman Ahnesty Shurme (Tyler, Texas): Placed 10 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.95.

Freshman Mya McKenzie (St. Louis, Mo.): placed 11th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.11. She also placed 13 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.34

Freshman Choize Hysten (Topeka, Kan.): Placed 14th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.32. She also placed 21 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.23.

Freshman Isabella Kuenkamp (Warrensburg, Mo.): Kuenkamp placed 10th in discus with a distance of 31.67 meters and also placed 15th in the hammer throw with a distance of 31.90 meters.

Freshman Alexis Neff: placed 21st in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.69. She also placed 23 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.84.

Junior Samantha Bitz (Marion, Ill.): Placed 24th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.91. She also placed 23rd in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.95.

Freshman Syndei Cummings: placed 12th in javelin with a distance of 24.95 meters.

4x400 meter relay (Lechuga, Hysten, Gammarota, Shurme) placed 2nd overall with a time of 4:29:92.

Up next, the Viking track and field teams will continue their outdoor seasons at the Missouri S&T Miner Invite, March 22-23, in Rolla, Mo.
