Men's Tennis Drops Home Matches with Concordia
Marshall, Mo., (March 20, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's tennis team hosted Concordia (Neb.) for non-conference matches at Indian Foothills Park, Friday afternoon. The Vikings fell, 5-2.
Singles:
No. 1-Senior Alexander Ballinger (Northampton, England) lost to Nick Velders, 2-6, 2-6.
No. 2-Sophomore Guilherme Silva (Torres Novas, Portugal) lost to Daniel Caballeros, 1-6, 1-6.
No. 3-Junior Bogdan Zakharov (Kokshetau, Kazakhstan) defeated Ben Chisholm, 6-4, 0-6, 10-4.
No. 4-Junior Luca Stadtfeld (Cologne, Germany) lost to Leo Lopez, 3-6, 2-6.
No. 5-Junior David Schlageter (Meerbusch, Germany) defeated Santiago Abadia, 7-6, 6-3.
No. 6-Sophomore Felix Ortola (Madrid, Spain) lost to Michael Bedrosian, 2-6, 2-6.
Doubles:
No. 1-Ballinger/Silva lost to Lopez/Caballeros, 2-6.
No. 2-Zakharov/Stadtfeld lost to Hugo Fuentes/Chisholm, 5-7.
No. 3-Ortola/Schlageter lost to Velders/Ognjen Gajic, 3-6.
The men's team drops to 3-6 on the season.
Next up, the Viking men's tennis team will travel to Liberty, Mo., for matches with William Jewell (Mo.) on March 27 at 12 p.m.
