Men's Golf Sends Competitors to CMU Spring Reserve Invitational

Boonville, Mo., (April 16, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's golf team sent several individuals to play at the CMU Spring Reserve Tournament at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo., Thursday.  The Vikings produced four golfers that finished in the top ten.

 

Leading the team was Senior Dominic Hoskin (Witham, England), who finished with a single-round score of -2 (69) to finish in second place, one stroke back of the individual champion.  Sophomore Jan Stals Van Rooyen (Cape Town, South Africa) followed in fourth place with a -1 (70), and the pair were two of only five golfers to finish below-par on the day.  Both Senior Nelius De Jager (Upington, South Africa) and Freshman Rodrigo Bowen Martinez Casado (Gijon, Spain) tied for eighth place with scores of +1 (72).  Freshman Tomas Suau (Cordoba, Argentina) and Junior Julian Ayape (Bayonne, France) tied for No. 13 with a +2 (73), and Freshman Esteban Cervantes (Malaga, Spain) had a +3 (74) to come in at No. 20.  Sophomore Tyler Adams (St. Charles, Mo.), Freshman Kannon Kovar (Wiley, Texas), Freshman Chase Schlossenberg (Kansas City, Mo.) and Senior Jules Garrett (Lyon, France) each tied at No. 26 with scores of +4 (75).  Sophomore Guillermo Gil Llorens (Alcala de Henares, Spain) and Senior Patrick Hauschildt (Hamburg, Germany) tied at No. 36 with +7 (78), while both Junior Sebastian Liffers (Heitersheim, Germany) and Sophomore Tomas Ayape (Bayonne, France) tied at No. 44 with scores of +9 (80).  Freshman Gaspard Bidault (Santenay, France) came in at No. 49 with a +10 (81), Freshman Justin Case (Fulton, Mo.) had a +16 (87) to place at No. 56, Sophomore Jacob Salas (Hollsboro, Mo.) totaled a +24 (95) to place at No. 63 and Junior Jackson Tobias (Warrenton, Mo.) finished at +60 (131) to place at No. 66.

 

All golfers played as individuals, and there were no team scores recorded at the event.

 

Up next, the Viking men's and women's golf teams host the MVC Spring Invitational, Monday and Tuesday at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall, Mo.
