Golf Teams Compete at CMU Spring Invite

Boonville, Mo., (March 24, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's golf teams competed at the CMU Invitational at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.  The women's team placed third, and the men's "B" team placed fifth at the tournament.

 

On the men's "B" team, Junior Valentin Bosdari (Mendoza, Argentina) led with a two-round score of +3 (145) to place at No. 12.  Bosdari was one of only seven golfers to go under-par in the second round with a -1 (70).  Senior Ryan Van Eyk (Port Elizabeth, South Africa) followed at No. 14 with a final score of +4 (146).  Freshman Tomas Suau (Cordoba, Argentina) totaled a +6 (148) to place at No. 21, and  Junior Sebastian Liffers (Heitersheim, Germany) finished out the team scorers with a +11 (153) to place at No. 36. Senior Dominic Hoskin (Witham, England) totaled a +15 (157) to place at No. 47.

 

Four Vikings played as individuals.  Junior Julian Ayape (Bayonne, France) placed at No. 19 with a final score of +5 (147), Freshman Gaspard Bidault (Santenay, France) came in at No. 21 with a +6 (148), Senior Jules Garret (Lyon, France) totaled a +14 (156) to come in at No. 47 and Sophomore Guillermo Gil Llorens (Alcala de Henares, Spain) finished with a +21 (163) to place at No. 55.

 

The men's "B" team placed fifth overall with a final score of +24 (592).  No. 25 William Woods won the tournament with a -5 (563), and the WWU "B" team was second with a +7 (575)

 

The women's team was led by Junior Hanna Rieker (Munich, Germany) who placed fourth overall with a final score of +14 (156) in her two rounds, nine strokes back of first place.  Sophomore Sydney Righter (Camdenton, Mo.) followed at No. 16 with a +29 (171) and Senior Kali Brown (Smithville, Mo.) came in at No. 17 with a +30 (172).  Senior Madison Mills (Willard, Mo.) rounded out the team scorers with a +36 (178) to place at No. 21 and Sophomore Victoria Menard Varela (Coruna, Spain) came in at No. 25 with a +39 (181).

 

As a team, the Vikings finished third overall with a +101 (669).  NCAA Division II Lincoln (Mo.) won the tournament with a +37 (605), and William Woods (Mo.) was second with a +97 (664).  Central Methodist was fourth with a +119 (687).

 

Up next, the men's and women's golf teams will play at the William Woods (Mo.) Spring Invite at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo., March 30-31.
