Men's Golf Competes at Park Spring Invite

Leading the team was Freshman Valentin Bosdari (Mendoza, Argentina) who shot a two-round total of +3 (143) to place eighth overall, seven shots back of first place.  He finished with a -1 (69) in the second round.

Senior Andres Rueda de Leon (Tabasco, Mexico) followed at No. 12 with a final score of +6 (146).  Rudeda de Leon opened with a -1 (69) in the first round.  Freshman Mateo Quiroga (Canelones, Uruguay) came in at No. 17 with a +9 (149), which included a -1 (69) in the first round, and Freshman Joaquin Calderon (Quito, Ecuador) rounded out the team scorers at No. 28 with a final score of +13 (153).  Freshman Nelius de Jager (Upington, South Africa) placed at No. 34 with a score of +14 (154).

As a team, the Vikings finished third overall with a final score of +28 (588), 15 shots back of first place Kirkwood (Mo.) CC.  Central Methodist (Mo.) was second with a +25 (585) and Park was fourth with a +32 (597).

Up next, the Viking men's and women's golf teams will host the MVC Spring Invite, Monday and Tuesday at Indian Foothills Golf Course.
