Bowling Finishes in Top Ten at Eagle Invitational

Belton, Mo., (Feb. 1, 2023)- The Missouri Valley College bowling team competed at the Eagle Invitational recently, in Belton, Mo. The Vikings finished in the top ten of the team standings, with two individuals in the top 30 overall.

Leading the team was Wyatt Grunwald, who finished at No. 27 in the standings with a five-game average of 178.6, totaling 893 pins. He was followed by Guy Maptstone, who finished at No. 30 overall with an average of 175.6 in his five games, totaling 878 pins. Nicholas Miles placed at No. 43 with a 166 average, totaling 830 pins in five games. Blake Paulhamus came in at No. 51 with a total of 804 pins and a 160.8 average in five games, and Kayla Cowell placed at No. 68 with a total of 687 pins and average of 137.4 in five games.

As a team, the Vikings finished ninth overall with an average of 835.5 and total of 6,851 pins. The Vikings totaled 2,759 pins in the Baker games, and 4,092 pins in the team competition. Iowa Central won with an average of 955.5 and total of 7,835 pins.

Next up for the Missouri Valley bowling team is the Wildcat Challenge, Feb. 11-12 in Topeka, Kan.
