Men's Bowling Placed Sixth at Bronco Open
Hastings, Neb., (Nov. 10, 2022)- The Missouri Valley College men's bowling team competed at the Bronco Open in Hastings, Neb. The Vikings finished sixth as a team with one individual placing in the top five overall.
Missouri Valley finished with a total of 8,395 pins throughout the entire tournament. The Vikings totaled 5,392 pins in the team rounds, then added another 3,003 pins in the Baker games. Hastings (Neb.) won the tournament with 8,909 pins.
Leading the team was Wyatt Brunwald, who finished fifth in the standings with 1,196 pins and a 199 average in six games. His best round of bowling came in the second game when he finished at 222. He was only four pins off the average, and 23 total pins behind the individual winner. Brunwald was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Blake Paulhamus placed at No. 24 in the standings with a total of 1,052 and an average of 175, followed by Landon Woeltje at No. 30 with a total of 1,016 and an average of 169. Jessi Stern placed at No. 38 with a total of 950 an average of 158, while Nate Moser placed at No. 41 with a total of 942 with an average of 157.
Next up for the Viking bowling team is the Clash of the Spartans, hosted by Missouri Baptist, Saturday in St. Charles, Mo.
