Bio

Coach Lolar enters his first season as the Defensive Coordinator on the Missouri Valley College football staff. He will work primarily with the defensive backfield.
 
He comes to Missouri Valley most recently after spending time as an assistant coach at Dodge City Community College. Prior to DCCC Lolar spend the 2019 season as the secondary coach for the Montreal Alouttes of the Canadian Football League. During Lolar's time with the Alouttes, he coached three All-Eastern Conference players and a CFL All-Star.
 
Before his time in Montreal, Lolar was the head coach for NAIA school, Bethel College (KS) for
three seasons. Other coaching stops include time spent as an assistant for Division III
Defiance College, defensive coordinator for fellow Jayhawk Conference foe, Independence
Community College, Texas A&M-Commerce and a stint as the head coach of the Wichita Wild in the Indoor Football League. In 2013, Lolar led the Wild to an Indoor Football League
championship.
 
All in all, Coach Lolar has directly coached two NFL players (Kameron Wimbley & Elbert
Mack), three All-Eastern Conference players (Tommie Cambell, Patrick Levels, and CFL All-
Star Greg Reed) one NCAA Division II All-American Defensive Player of the Year
(Darvin Peterson), and four NAIA All-Americans (Kip Edwards, Dan Kontz, Jeff Kontz, & Ricky Rodriguez).
 
The Wichita, Kansas native, started his collegiate career at The University of Minnesota,
starting 4 games as a freshman. Lolar transferred following his freshman year to Friends
University. While at Friends, Lolar was a two-time First Team All-American defensive back.
His college career landed him a professional contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Following
his time with the Chiefs, Lolar went on to play six years in the Canadian Football League
where he played for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. As a starter
Lolar helped the Eskimos win the Grey Cup in 1993.
