Esports Rocket League Competes at Heart Championship

Overland Park, Kan., (March 21, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College Esports Rocket League team competed at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship Saturday afternoon in Overland Park, Kan.  The Vikings finished one round away from the conference finals defending last year's conference title.

 

Missouri Valley was the No. 4 seed in the double-elimination tournament, and opened against No. 1 seed Columbia (Mo.).  The Vikings fell in the best-of-seven series, 4-0 in games.

 

The loss put the team in the consolation bracket, and elimination series against No. 3 St. Ambrose (Iowa).  Missouri Valley held off the Fighting Bees with a 4-2 win in the series, advancing in the consolation bracket to meet No. 2 seed Central Methodist (Mo.).

 

Needing a win to advance to the championship finals, Missouri Valley fell to the Eagles, 4-0 win in games.  The loss ends the season for the Heart Rocket League Team.  Columbia defeated Central Methodist in the championship round, in a 4-0 sweep.
