Rocket League Team Sweeps Minnesota

Marshall, Mo., (Oct. 12, 2021)- The Missouri Valley College eSports team continued its Rocket League competition season this week. The Rocket League team swept a meeting with Minnesota, winning all three games.

The Rocket League team of Freshman Grant Woltkamp (Kearney, Mo.), Freshman Kolby Smothers (Kearney, Mo.) and Freshman Kristopher Falcone (Lakeland, Fla.) continued the NACE StarLeague Challenger Division season by defeating a team from the University of Minnesota, 3-0 in games.

Grant and Falcone each scored one goal to win the opening game, 2-1, while Grant added three more goals in a 5-1 win in game two. Kolby scored twice to lead the team to a 2-0 win the third game to sweep the match up.

Grant led with four goals, while Kolby added three goals and Falcone scored twice.

The Rocket League team is now 2-0 on the season, having defeated a team from Marquette (Wisc.) last week.
