Dance Team Places Seventh in the Heart Championship

Baldwin City, Kan., (Mar. 9, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College dance team competed in the 2024 Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship in Baldwin City, Kan., Saturday. The Vikings finished seventh in the conference standing.

 

In the preliminary round of competition, the Vikings earned a score of 60.20 to place seventh. The dance team improved on their score in the final round of performances, and earned a final score of 61.15 to stay seventh in the standings. Grand View (Iowa) took first place with a final score of 85.49. Second was Benedictine (Kan.) with a score of 82.55, and third was Baker (Kan.) with an overall score of 82.03.

  1. Grand View (Iowa)- 85.49

  2. Benedictine (Kan.)- 82.55

  3. Graceland (Iowa)- 82.03

  4. Baker University- 79.93

  5. Mount Mercy (Iowa)- 76.68

  6. William Penn (Iowa)- 71.11

  7. Missouri Valley College- 61.15

 

Up next, the competitive dance team will compete in the 2024 NAIA Regional Qualifier on Mar. 16, in Baldwin City, Kan.
