Dance Places Third at Both Graceland Competitions
Lamoni, Iowa, (Feb. 4, 2023)- The Missouri Valley College cheer and dance teams both competed in Lamoni, Iowa, Saturday, at the Graceland Classic and Graceland Invitational. The cheer team finished second overall in both competitions, and the dance team placed third in the competitions.
At the Graceland Classic, the Viking cheer team finished with a score of 80.35 in its performance, and placed second overall. Grand View (Iowa) won the competition with a score of 83.45.
In the dance competition of the Graceland Classic, the Vikings placed third in the standings with a score of 69.70. Benedictine (Kan.) was second with a 74.56, and Grand View won the event with a score of 84.33.
Later in the afternoon, the teams competed in the Graceland Invitational. The Missouri Valley cheer team finished second in the standings with a score of 81.08, as Grand View won with a score of 85.02.
The Viking dance team placed third at the Graceland Invitational, with a score of 73.56. Grand View won with a score of 86.53, and Benedictine was second with a 73.56.
