Cheer Team Continues Season at Nebraska Day of Duals with High Performance Scores
Seward, Neb., (Feb. 8, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team competed at the Nebraska Day of Duals in Seward, Neb., Saturday. The Vikings performed twice and won the first dual against Doane (Neb.) with a final score of 91.55, but lost to Northwestern (Iowa) in the second dual. MVC finished second overall with a final score of 181.5 out of twelve teams.
The Missouri Valley cheer team won the first dual against Doane (Neb.) as the Vikings received scores of 91.6 and 91.5 from the judges and zero deductions to finish with a final score of 91.55. Doane (Neb.) received scores of 79.9 and 79.4 from the judges for a raw score of 79.65, but the team suffered a 0.25 point deduction and finished with a final score of 79.4.
The Vikings competed against Northwestern (Iowa) and lost in dual two as MVC received scores of 91.8 from Judge 1 and 91.4 from Judge 2 for a raw score of 91.6. The team suffered a 1.75 point deduction, and finished with a final score of 89.85. Northwestern (Iowa) received scores of 93.3 and 93.6 from the judges and zero deductions to finish with a final score of 93.45.
