STUNT Takes Third At National Championship

Bethany, Okla., (April 19, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College STUNT team competed at the 2026 College STUNT National Championship-NAIA Division this weekend in Bethany, Okla.  The Vikings advanced to the consolation finals, and finished third overall.

 

Missouri Valley entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed, and opened competition against No. 2 seed Arizona Christian.  The Vikings fell in the matchup, by a final score of 17-9.  Leading the team were a trio of eight-point scorers.  Junior Catalina Ramirez (Whitney, Texas), Sophomore Sterling Mydske (Port Orchard, Wash.) and Junior Parker Hoobler (Boulder, Colo.) all finished with eight points.

 

The team moved into the consolation bracket, and had a Saturday elimination contest against No. 4 seeded Central Methodist (Mo.).  The Vikings pulled away from the Eagles to earn a 19-6 victory, and advance in the tournament.  Leading the team in scoring was Freshman Taylor Rassenfoss (Lake Ozark, Mo.), who finished with 15 points in the contest. 

 

In Sunday's consolation final, the Vikings had another meeting with Arizona Christian.  The winner would advance to the National championship round.  The Vikings fell by a final score of 15-8.  Rassenfoss led the team again, this time with eight points in the contest.

 

The Viking STUNT team finished its season third overall in the 2026 College STUNT National Championship-NAIA Division, and this was the program's first-ever appearance at the National championship.
