STUNT Team Opens Season With Competitions in Dallas

Dallas, Texas, (Feb. 22, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College STUNT team opened its 2025 season with three competitions in Dallas, Texas, this weekend.  The Vikings fell in each competition.

Against George Fox (Ore.), the STUNT team lost by a close score of 14-13.  The team was led by Sophomore Catalina Ramirez (Whitney, Texas) and Sophomore Gabriela Lopez (McDonough, Ga.), who each scored 11 points.  Ramirez scored all of her points in the Partner Stunts and Pyramid and Tosses rounds.  Leading in the tumblers were Sophomore India Trimble (Falmouth, Ky.), Sophomore Aidan Oldham (Kansas City, Mo.), Lopez, and Freshman Hailey Stephenson (Las Vegas, Nev.), who each scored two points in the Jumps and Tumbling rounds.

The Vikings dropped duals against Hope International (Calif.), 24-0, and Texas, 24-0.

Five members of the team reached 100-career rounds, including Sophomore Chloeane Vico (Miami, Fla.), Sophomore Crysta Newton (South Rockwood, Mich.), Trimble, Sophomore Jaedyn Butler (Kanakee, Ill.) and Sophomore Madison Race (Fayette, Mo.).

Up next, the STUNT team will compete at Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., next weekend.  Contests against Missouri State, Michigan State, Purdue-Northwest and Kentucky.
