Rodeo Teams Continue Third Go-Rounds Thursday Evening at CNFR

Casper, Wyo., (June 17, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College rodeo teams continued third go-round performances at the 2026 College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo., Thursday evening.  Three Vikings competed in three events.

 

Sophomore Jason Wilson (Bennington, Vt.) opened the night with his third go-round performance in bareback riding, and earned an 81.25 on his ride to currently sit fifth in the go-round.  Wilson has scored on all three rides and has earned a 238.25 to sit in a tie for third in the average. 

 

In saddle bronc riding, Sophomore Treg Huver (Nashville, Mich.) finished with a 64.0 in his third go-round to currently sit at No. 24 in the round.  Huver has 129.5 on two rides in the average, and is No. 23 overall.

 

Freshman Victoria Whitehead (Jones, Okla.) competed in her third go-round of goat tying, and came in with an 8.1 to currently place at No. 28 in the go-round.  Whitehead is No. 21 in the average with a 22.9.

 

After the first two go-rounds the Viking men's rodeo team is fifth in the standings with 300 points and the women's team is seventh with 70 points.

 

The 2026 CNFR continues through Saturday at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyo.  Third performances continue through Friday.  The short go-round will finish the championship competition, Saturday.  The Missouri Valley College men's rodeo team was the reserve National champions at the 2025 CNFR.
