Men's Volleyball Recognized With Four Heart All-Conference Selections
Marshall, Mo., (April 10, 2026)- The No. 4 Missouri Valley College men's volleyball team has put four of its student-athletes on the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, released Friday.
Leading the selections is Senior Opposite Luca Hasse (Paderborn, Germany), named to the all-conference first team. Hasse becomes a four-time all-conference selection, and a three-time first team honoree in the Heart. This season, Hasse led the team in kills (267), kills per game (3.56), aces (27), total points (312.5) and points per game (4.2). Hasse finished the regular season with a .375 hitting percentage and added 97 digs. Going into the postseason, Hasse has accumulated 957 kills and 1,108 points in his career.
Named to the all-conference second team are Freshman Outside Hitter Loan Fargier (Bordeaux, France) and Junior Middle Blocker Joao Tavares (Parana, Brazil), both recognized for the first time as all-conference honorees.
Fargier led the teams in digs (116), and was second on the team in kills (187), aces (18) and total points (223). His 27 kills against Grand View (Iowa) on March 7 is second-most in program-history for a single-match.
Tavares finished the season with 124 kills, on a .329 hitting percentage, 13 aces and a team-high 57 total blocks to produce 174 total points on the season.
Senior Middle Blocker Arthur Marteneli (Curitiba, Brazil) was an honorable mention selection, and finished the regular season with 164 kills, 19 blocks and 182.5 total points.
The men's volleyball team finished the regular season with an overall record of 21-4, to go with a 15-4 record in the Heart. Missouri Valley reached the 20-win mark for the third-straight season. The Vikings are the No. 3 seed in the Heart Postseason Championship, and open play in the tournament with a quarterfinal contest, at home, against No. 6 seed Dordt (Iowa), Saturday at 7 p.m., inside the Burns Athletic Complex. Dordt defeated Missouri Valley in Sioux Center, Iowa, back on March 20, in five games.
