Cheer Recognized With Fivr All-Americans
Marshall, Mo., (April 2, 2026)- The Missouri Valley College cheer program has put five of its student-athletes on the 2026 NAIA Competitive Cheer All-America Team, released Thursday.
Leading the selections are a pair of first team All-Americans. Junior Carter McCourt (Bristol, Ind.) and Sophomore Hailey Stephenson (Las Vegas, Nev.). McCourt is now a two-time first team All-American, and was the 2025 NAIA Competitive Cheerleader of the Year. Stephenson also becomes a two-time All-American, including a second team selection in 2025, and was the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference Cheerleader of the Year.
Three individuals were selected as second team All-Americans. Junior Alayna Allen (Warrensburg, Mo.), Freshman Anthony Carter (Geneseo, Mo.) and Junior Parker Hoobler (Boulder, Colo.) all earned All-American honors for the first time in their respective careers.
Additionally, McCourt, Stephenson, Allen and Carter were all first team all-conference selections in the Heart, and Hoobler was a second team all-conference selection.
The Viking cheer team captured a Heart title for the ninth time in the past ten seasons, and competed at the 2026 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship, last week, finishing in seventh place.
