Lifting Student-Athlete Competes at National Championship Event
Killeen, Texas, (March 21, 2026)- A student-athlete on the Missouri Valley College lifting teams competed at the USA Powerlifting Military/Police/Fire Fighters National Championship Killeen, Texas.
Sophomore Jaden Lambert (Belton, Mo.) competed in the Men's Raw Junior 75kg weight class. Lambert finished with a 210kg/462lbs squat, 127.5kg/280.5lbs bench press, and a 197.5kg/434.5lbs dead lift to finish with a total of 535kg/1,177lbs. Lambert finished second in his division, and was eligible to compete at the National championship as an Air Force Reservist.
Next up for the Missouri Valley College lifting teams will be their respective National championship competitions. The USA Powerlifting Collegiate Nationals take place in New Orleans, La., and the USA Weightlifting University Nationals are in Salt Lake City, Utah. Both events take place April 9-12. Combined, the two programs have a total of 32 Vikings that have qualified to compete at the National events, setting program records.
