Men's Lacrosse Goalkeeper Recognized as NAIA All-American
Marshall, Mo., (May 15, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College men's lacrosse team has put one of its student-athletes on the 2025 NAIA Men's Lacrosse All-America Team, released Friday.
Senior Goalkeeper Jake Lipscomb (Boiling Springs, S.C.) has been named an NAIA third team All-American for his play during the season. Lipscomb finished as the Heart of America Athletic Conference's leader in multiple categories. Playing in only nine games during the season, Lipscomb led the Heart in saves (187) and save percentage (.552). In a game against Benedictine (Kan.), Lipscomb set a career-high, and set a new single-game program record with 33 saves.
Lipscomb finished his career as a program-leader in multiple statistical categories. He holds three of the top four spots in single-season saves. He finished with a program-best 219 saves in 2023, had 187 saves this season, and added 138 saves last season. The .552 save percentage is second-best in a season for the program, and the 654 career saves is most in program-history. Lipscomb played in all 40 games for the program during his four seasons, and also added one goal and three assists playing from the goalkeeper position.
Lipscomb becomes the program's 13th NAIA All-American in program-history, and the first since Jack Smith in the 2019 season. Lipscomb is also the first goalkeeper for the program to be recognized as an All-American.
