Mateo Quiroga Named Men's Golf All-American

Marshall, Mo., (May 24, 2023)- Missouri Valley College men's golfer Freshman Mateo Quiroga (Canelones, Uruguay) has been named to the 2023 NAIA Men's Golf All-America Team for his play during the recently completed season.

Quiroga was named to the All-America Third Team for his play, after capturing the individual title at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship, and playing as an individual at the 2023 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship last week at Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.  Quiroga finished with a final score of +8 (296) to place at No. 37 in the overall standings.

In addition to being an All-American, Quiroga was named both the Heart Men's Golfer of the Year and Heart Men's Golf Newcomer of the Year.  He also becomes the second NAIA All-American in program-history, joining Nicholas Evangelio (2019).
